Wilderness therapy

Bocciardi Capstone

My name is Brett Bocciardi, and I am a student at the prairie school. I like candy and grilled cheese sandwiches without the crust on. I have lived in Racine, Wisconsin, all of my life. I am eighteen years old and have no idea what I want to do with my life. I have always been interested in hiking and mountain climbing which is why I am writing about the positive effects nature has on our lives and how hiking/climbing in general can help us conquer challenges in life.

"For every soul these mountains take, they cure a thousand."  ~Naturalist John Muir

To many people, nature represents a place to escape, reflect, and heal. The outdoors have always represented a place to play and to seek in times of trouble. Nature is a conscious place that changes constantly in order to adapt to its surroundings.
